Adventures of Pip by Tic Toc Games kickstarter has launched with a PlayStation strechgoal set at $60.000.
You play as Pip, who despite the fact that he is only one pixel in a world full of 32-bit characters, is the only one brave enough to stand up to the Skeleton Queen and rescue the kidnapped princess. Moved by his plight, the ghost knight, Sir William bestowed upon Pip the power to harness the bitstream. With the ability to absorb his enemy’s pixels, Pip can transform into a hi-fidelity hero! But be aware! With each evolution comes balance!
With the Princess in their possession, the Skeleton Queen and her minions have taken control of the land and are hellbent on destroying the kingdom.
Pip is the only hero who can save them all!
Adventures of Pip is a new take on the classic side-scrolling action platform game where the main character, Pip, evolves by absorbing pixels from his fallen foes. Those same pixels can then be used to blast through environment puzzles and enemies, devolving Pip back to a single pixel.
The game pays homage to the classics that we grew up loving, such as Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country, Kid Icarus, and Legend of Zelda. And then we asked each other “Can you imagine defeating a huge 32-bit boss as a single pixel or even as an 8-bit character?”
With three different forms, you can evolve and devolve Pip to solve puzzles or even defeat enemies; each with their own weakness and strength that must be unraveled in the worlds!
EVO 1 – THE TINY WARRIOR
With his 1-pixel stature and light frame, Pip can fit into any crack and bounce great heights that no other can reach.
EVO 2 – THE AGILE EXPLORER
This Pip’s lanky limbs allows him to have great agility! Explore new areas by wall jumping, running, and a new quick jab!
EVO 3 – THE BULKY BRUISER
Sword in hand, this Pip is out to break things! Heavy with pixels, he can move big blocks, and crush stones that he couldn’t break before.
We are certainly interested to see this game released on Playstation. For more information about the game check out their Kickstarter page, follow them on Twitter and tell’em Punk and Lizard send you.
