Primal Carnage: Extinction is a class-based biter/shooter in which you play as your favorite dinosaur or mercenary to bite/claw/douse-with-poisonous-spit members of the opposing team.
Today, Austin-based independent studio Panic Button, confirm to us their First Person Shooter is coming shortly to European shores. North America gamers got a taste of Primal Carnage: Extinction when it was released Oct 20th.
Adam Creighton Studio GM & Director of Development also tells us:
“Panic Button is no stranger to Sony’s platforms, having brought Disney Infinity 2.0 to PS Vita, and we were responsible for the PS4 versions of Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0. I’m happy we could be part of bringing Circle 5 Studios’ Primal Carnage: Extinction to a PlayStation audience.”
Primal Carnage offers multiplayer mayhem with up to 16 players in player-hosted online and offline (single-screen LAN) modes and even has a pretty straight forward custom control scheme for PS Vita Remote Play, which can be seen below.
Gameplay types include, Survival where you can play solo or co-op through wave after wave of AI dinos, Team Deathmatch, Get to the Chopper and Free Roam modes. Gameplay gets turned on its head as Primal Carnage lets you also play as a dinosaur giving you the opportunity to slash your enemies and maul them into the ground. Want to ambush and blind your enemies? Then the Dilophosaurus hits the mark with its poisonous fangs. Other beasts include, Novaraptor, Pteranodon and of course the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
