Grab your board, take to the mountains and get ready to shred the runs with your gnarly moves as Mark McMorris Infinite Air tailslides onto PS4 today in the UK.
The game boasts more than 100 square miles of vast backcountry terrain in an open world waiting to be uncovered. The options are endless as procedurally generated mountains guarantee that no two rides will ever be experienced the same way. Soaring high across the panoramic sky and utilising the assistance of a helicopter that drops you in, just like the real pros, players will also have the ability to land in virtually any location offered in the game. With the inclusion of real-world events such as the popular Burton US Open Slopestyle and Half Pipe, courses can mirror the twists and turns of the real life competition.
Infinite Air also amps up the authenticity with five new playable pro snowboarders. Joining the Canadian pro-snowboarder and cover athlete, Mark McMorris, will be Olympian and three-time X Games Gold medalist Silje Norendal, two-time X Games Gold medalist Torstein Horgmo, two-time X Games Gold medalist Danny Davis and Norwegian style master Ulrik Badertscher. Proving that snowboarding runs in the family, Mark’s very own brother, professional snowboarder and on-air personality Craig McMorris, also joins the pack, rounding out the group of top athletes.
World Editor Feature
The World Editor feature used in Infinite Air builds upon the same proven concept as HB Studios’, The Golf Club. Thousands and thousands of user-generated courses will serve as the foundation for Infinite Air’s competitive atmosphere. At launch, the World Editor will offer over 100 items that can be used to create distinctive runs, using a variation of ramps, rails and pipes – anything to suit the players’ mind.
Players will explore a vast backcountry across massive procedurally generated mountains and compete against friends, building and riding their own terrain parks and carving first tracks in pristine powder. Staying true to its name, the game provides near infinite options to create and share players’ ultimate runs with others around the world. Top trending runs will also be highlighted in the game as well as a leaderboard showcasing the highest scoring riders. Leaning into the creativity of the gaming community ensures that no mountain range will ever be the same.
