Aven Colony  (PS4)
The graphics are beautiful, the music is gorgeous, the mechanics are streamlined and easy, and the gameplay is addictive. Simply put – Aven Colony is the best building sim and resource management game on PS4 so far. Even the trophy list is top notch. There isn’t anything we didn’t like. Absolutely flawless.” 10/10

Tokyo Xanadu (PS Vita)
What starts out as a Persona-style clone, eventually matures into a good solid action RPG with its own brand of charisma and charm.” 8/10

Nex Machina (PS4)
“A stunning leap forward in glossy high-tech shooter action.” 9/10

Victor Vran: Overkill Edition (PS4)
Who’s been eyeing up Victor Vran? No, I don’t mean mentally undressing him and imagining Tom Hardy would play him in the movie (although I did that, too).” 8.5/10

The Surge (PS4)
The rumours are true. The Surge is the merciless and unyielding monster-hard insane cousin of the Dark Souls family.” 9/10

Black & White Bushido (PS4)
If you are looking to bolster your platinum count then Black & White Bushido can hook you up. The path to its platinum is a reasonable one that can be popped in under an hour.” 8.5/10

Eventide: Slavic Fable (PS4)
Eventide: Slavic Fable is a gorgeous, fun, relaxing and entertaining Hidden Object, point and click, adventure puzzler.” 9/10

Knee Deep (PS4)
“If you crossed The Big Sleep with True Blood and Columbo, stuck a crocodile in the middle and put it on Broadway, well, that would be weird, but it gives you an idea what to expect (but no vampires, sorry).” 8/10

The Flame in the Flood (PS4)
“This is a heart-warming survival sim and a joyful experience. Do not miss it.” 9/10

Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky (PS4/PS Vita)
“Now is it just me, or as the Vita ages gracefully does it seem to get more and more beautiful games?” 8/10

Mantis Burn Racing (PS4)
PlayStation has had its share of such racers in recent years, and this pushes the others aside.” 8.5/10

Bound (PSVR)
The PSVR is not even two weeks old and I think we might have already found our Game of the Year.” 9/10

“It also gets bonus points for not just giving nods to other games but also referencing TV shows like Game of Thrones (I collected the head of a king and laughed when its info stated that it “wasn’t Joffrey’s head”), movie stars (hello Wruce Billis mojo) and everything else in between.” 9/10

Asemblance  (PS4)
Asemblance deals in unforgettable memories, and Nilo Games latest is certainly hard to forget.” 8.5/10

Many people might overlook Lovely Planet thinking that it is some sort of cute kid-friendly shooter and this is where it gets you.” 8.5/10

The Division  PS4
“The Division is well worth the AAA price tag and has a longevity that looks to rival any other MMO-style experience. Possible Game of the Year.” 9.5/10

Fallout 4  PS4
We’re not shy here at Punk and Lizard. When we are smitten with a game we unashamedly scream and shout about it. Here goes. Fallout 4 is a masterpiece.” 10/10

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance  PS4
It’s a no-brainer and a compulsory purchase. Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is a definite contender for Game of the Year.” 9.5/10

Steins;Gate  PS Vita
Steins; Gate is a long and deep story that thunders along at a cracking pace, delivering shocks and emotional punches.” 10/10

Flame Over  PS4
A tough but hugely rewarding experience that amounts to one of the best PS4 releases around.” 9/10

Zombie Vikings  PS4
If you enjoy beat ‘em ups, witty dialogue, great voice acting, fantastic characters and a bonkers storyline you will love Zombie Vikings.” 8/10

Dying Light  PS4
One of the PS4’s first surprises of the year. What a great way to kick off 2015. Stunning graphics, almost flawless mechanics and gameplay that’s tougher than your grandmother’s overcooked liver.” 9/10

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter  PS4
A stunning combat-free and narrative-driven indie that graphically outshines just about every other game on the PS4. Lost: Ethan Carter. Found: a brand new classic.” 9/10

The Evil Within  PS4
Prepare to be turned upside down. Prepare to have your nerves shredded. Prepare for giant eyeballs and grotesque creatures. The Evil Within is nothing short of utterly disturbing and utterly brilliant.” 9/10

Game of Thrones  PS4
Get out your blood pressure pills because Telltale have done it again. Iron From Ice, the first episode of their Game of Thrones series is packed full of tension, shocking brutality and antagonistic cruelty. Prepare to make the worst decisions of your life and love every moment of it.” 9/10

Never Alone  PS4
“My greatest hope is that Never Alone will kick-start the ‘World Game’ genre, because this was one of the most moving and haunting experiences I’ve had on a console. Plus, I learned stuff.” 10/10

Zombie Army Trilogy PS4
Mixing up epic historical events with the walking dead for the final chapter in the Zombie Army story still produces a worthy purchase.” 8/10

Lost Orbit  PS4
The lovechild of Velocity Ultra and Thomas Was Alone, Lost Orbit could quite possibly be contender for indie game of the year.” 9/10

Shadow Warrior PS4
Old school gameplay that rolls out a dream on PS4 – crash, Wang, wallop and shagging rabbits, Shadow Warrior won’t disappoint.” 8/10

Jamestown+ PS4
This shooter has been to the school of Monty Python, doused in charm and given a music score Andrew Lloyd Webber would have sold his soul for. 8/10

OlliOlli 2: Welcome To Olliwood -PS4/PS Vita
With combos better value than Subway, OlliOlli 2 truly sticks out like a sore thumb, in the best possible way. From where we’re sitting, OlliOlli 2 is an early yet worthy contender for coolest game of the year.” 9.5/10

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection  PS4
An excellent package featuring hundreds of hours of content and allowing you to revisit two excellent games from the previous generation.” 9/10

Hatoful Boyfriend PS4/PS Vita
Strong gameplay, original story, great writing and a twist so twisty your brain will never be straight again, Hatoful Boyfriend is the surprise of the year. Enjoy a dark mystery, embrace the romance, and be the wind beneath some lucky pigeon’s wings.” 9/10

Lost Dimension  PS Vita
If you’re on the fence about this game jump down, skip over the cross badger and do a Riverdance all the way to the shops.” 8/10

Futuridium EP Deluxe  PS4/PS Vita
MixedBag have stripped away the unnecessary and gone back to basics to produce something extraordinarily special. Highly polished gameplay and amazing mechanics deliver to PS4 and PS Vita a massive heart pumping release. Late night gaming just got a whole lot later.” 10/10
